Our Services

1

Chiropractic

Chiropractic is a Philosophy, Science, and Art.  Chiropractic works to help restore your body's natural healing abilities by removing pressure from nerves that result in pain and dysfunction.  By treating misalignments of the spine, the body can function at a higher level - the Nervous System can function better, and the surrounding joints and tissues benefit from released stress on them.  Many techniques used in our office are extremely gentle and don't involve popping or cracking. .

2

Therapeutic Bodywork

Whether you are looking for a relaxing Swedish Massage for stress reduction or Deep Tissue Massage for relief of trigger points and pain, we are here for you.  Massage Therapy increases circulation to the tissues, promotes lymphatic flow, and stimulates the Parasympathetic Nervous System (the part of our Nervous System that is responsible for heartrate, breathing, and digestion).  Other methods of bodywork we utilize are dry needling, stretching, cupping and infrared heat.

3

Movement Therapy

We know that there is only so much we can provide our clients during hands on sessions.  We realize how important movement is in the treatment of all conditions, and knowing the best kind of movement for your body is vital.  We offer small group and private movement sessions that are dedicated to teaching you proper form and movement techniques that will serve you best.  Sessions include a blend of yoga, pilates, breath work and functional movement exercises.

About me

Hi! I'm Dr. Ginger Lowe. I was born and raised in Northern Virginia, and I have been practicing Chiropractic and Massage Therapy in Alexandria since 2007. My interest in health started at an early age, and I was always fascinated with the body and how it functions. At around the age of ten, I started giving my grandmother foot and leg massages because she was always in so much pain.  I could see how much better she moved and felt, and it brought me so much joy to help her feel better. I am so grateful I was later able to turn that joy into my purpose and career.

After a few years of general undergraduate studies, I realized I was leaning more toward the sciences, particularly anatomy and biology.  I knew I wanted to incorporate the healing arts into my profession. I decided to take a pause on that degree and moved to Asheville, NC, to study Massage Therapy. I worked for a Chiropractor while attending The North Carolina School of Natural Healing, and graduated in 2001 with my degree in Massage Therapy. After spending a few years working under his wing as his Chiropractic Assistant and MT, I decided to further my studies in Chiropractic.

I graduated from Logan University in 2006, having attained a Bachelors of Science in Human Biology and a Doctorate in Chiropractic. Along with Chiropractic and Massage Therapy, I am also a Registered Yoga Teacher and Certified Dry Needling practitioner. I incorporate all of these techniques in my sessions, and custom tailor each appointment for the individual.

In my spare time, you will find me on outdoor adventures with my husband and dog, cooking healthy meals, planting flowers, and traveling as much as possible. It is my greatest joy to help people be and feel their best, and I am honored to serve the community.
